The count beside each chain is its Brandenburg openings — not a national figure. The US store count is national and is a different measurement in a different window.
Index entries classified as name collisions, brands embedded inside another business, or virtual-only operators are excluded. An entry the classifier has not yet reached is kept.
Openings are counted from individually verified new locations rather than from the quarter-over-quarter change in a record count.
